These can be unemployment, risky life, poor social environment, working conditions, stress, and home life can alter a person’s lifestyle to raise their risk of developing one of these diseases.

Behavioral factors like excessive use of alcohol, bad food habits, tobacco and smoking, lack of exercise, wrong body posture and disturbed biological clock maximize the possibility of diseases. The stress related to work is also seen as a strong risk factor for diseases.

Factors that cannot be managed or altered by the use of treatment can be called non-modifiable factors and include Age, Race, Gender, and Genetics.

Metabolic factors cause four major changes in the metabolic systems that increase the possibility to include, increased blood pressure, Obesity, Increased blood glucose levels or hyperglycemia, and increased levels of fat in the blood or hyperlipidemia.

Ultimately, factors of lifestyle that influence health can be grouped in some items:

  1. Diet is the greatest factor in lifestyle and has a direct and positive relationship with health. Poor diet and its effects like obesity is the common health issue in urban societies. An unhealthy lifestyle can be calculated by BMI. Urban lifestyle causes nutrition problems like using fast foods and poor foods, increasing problems like cardiovascular.
  2. For dealing with basic health problems, the exercise is included in lifestyle. The continuous exercise along with a healthy diet improves health. Some reports stress on the connection of an active lifestyle with happiness.
  3. One of the basics of a healthy life is sleep. Sleep cannot be separated from life. Sleep disorders have several social, psychological, economic and health effects. Sleep has a clear influence on mental and physical health.
  4. Addiction is considered an unhealthy lifestyle. Smoking and using other substances may lead to various problems, like cardiovascular disease, asthma, cancer, brain injury.
  5. Unhealthy behaviors in using the medication are as follows: self-treatment, sharing medication, using medications without a prescription, prescribing too many drugs, prescribing a large number of each drug, unnecessary drugs.
  6. Misuse of technology may result in unpleasant effects. Addiction to the use of a mobile phone is related to depression symptoms.
